After a year of tragic events for people's health and livelihoods around the world, we are extremely happy to announce that Santa paid Movi an early visit this year.
This year, Santa came in the shape and form of Innovation Norway.
Granting Movi a $900k (8M NOK) grant to further develop Movi’s video technology and products to enable active video as a platform where any app developer and publisher can build, scale and monetize active video.
The grant is part of Innovation Norway’s Seal of Excellence program, and directly geared towards realizing Movi’s immediate and long term roadmap. It’s offered to Movi based on achieving a very high score on an innovation impact scale, by the technical evaluators in the high commission on innovation as part of EU’s Horizon 2020 program, and a due diligence made by Innovation Norway.
Together with our on-going pre-series A financing round, this grant gives us the resources we need to reach our next milestone as a company
We are extremely grateful and humble for this support and backing and we’re eager to continue building our dream team to help accelerate Movi towards our next milestone with the new resources.
Already we have welcomed a few new investors as part of our on-going capital raise like Sadita Holding, a Kuwaiti investment company and Erik Saastad, Product Manager Video and Podcast in Schibsted.
Movi is already backed by investors like Hampus Jakobsson, founder of The Astonishing Tribe, Bogomil Balkansky, entrepreneur now partner in Sequoia Capital, David Helgason, founder of Unity, Promentum Equity, a Copenhagen based VC and iGlobe Partners, a Singapore based VC.
Building Movi is all about building dream teams. This grant, and the new investments are what enables us to get the best people out there to help realize Movi’s full potential.
A special thanks goes to all our team, customers, partners, advisors, investors, and all end-users using Movi.
We look forward to entering 2021 with this new backing to continuing to build active video together with you.
